Lauren is the President of Moterum Technologies.  Lauren has previously served as the Director of Clinical Operations and Customer Development. She holds a doctorate in physical therapy and brings substantial experience in the neuro-rehabilitation world, including clinical management and business development roles. With her strong background in both clinical and commercial rehabilitation, she offers expertise in clinical strategy and integration. Lauren has been responsible for clinical operations, building and leveraging clinic partnerships and delivering current protocols/education to other clinic staff. Additionally, Lauren will continue to cultivate, build, and maintain relationships that help foster the clinical integration process.

Brie Darcy, PT, DPT currently serves as the Clinical Research Manager for Moterum Technologies, Inc. Brie received a doctor of physical therapy degree with high honors from Emory University then dedicated 10+ years to clinical practice. In her patient care tenure, Brie served in various leadership positions at some of the nation’s most renowned medical centers and teaching hospitals including UCLA Medical Center and Atrium Health’s Carolinas Medical Center. She has extensive experience in neurorehabilitation, treating patient populations including those with strokes, spinal cord injuries, and neurodegenerative diseases. She is also skilled in post-surgical and critical care. As Clinical Research Manager for Moterum Technologies, Brie utilizes a strong clinical and research background to focus efforts on the design, implementation, and oversight of Moterum’s research studies.

David E. Huizenga is the founder and CEO of Moterum Technologies Inc., a medical device company in stroke rehabilitation. He is an expert in translating groundbreaking science into realistic commercial opportunities. Over the last 5 years, he has focused his efforts on the unique needs of the neural rehabilitation patient. Previously, David was CEO and cofounder of Tao Life Sciences LLC, an early stage life sciences technology development and investment company, which successfully monetized over half of its portfolio. David has been on the founding team of numerous life science companies, and has involvement in successful acquisitions and exits. Mr. Huizenga obtained his Ph.D. from Harvard, in the laboratory of Jack Szostak, Nobel Laureate in Medicine, and his Law Degree from Emory University Law School, where he was a Woodruff Fellow. Mr. Huizenga serves on numerous corporate and non-profit boards.

Manoj Agarwala is a serial entrepreneur. He successfully started and grew two technology companies – hCentive and GlobalLogic which grew to over 5,000 employees and expanded to over 6 countries. He was President and Chief Operating Officer for hCentive from 2009 to 2016. At hCentive Manoj oversaw the company’s Operations, Finance, Legal, R&D, Professional Services and Marketing.

Karan Sorensen is an expert in digital health, information technologies, and the “internet of things”. Through her previous roles as a CIO and head of Digital Health for companies, such as Johnson & Johnson Pharmaceutical Research & Development LLC and Life Technologies, she pioneered global programs in the digital health arenas, such as Johnson and Johnson’s Total Oncology Digital Health Program.

Her excellence in the digital health world has garnered numerous awards including, Bio-IT World Best Practices, CIO magazine and CIO.COM awards including the CIO 100 award and CIO 100+ Competitive Advantage award. She has special expertise in executing innovation, information and technology solutions, building businesses, implementing operational excellence programs and developing leaders. Karan has been called a visionary and inspirational leader adept at shaping technical and business strategies, creating an energetic climate for growth and excellence, delivering large-scale goals, and motivating others to achieve their highest levels of growth and performance.

She has a reputation for excellence in creating high performance global teams and organizations and for administering multi-million dollar budgets. A technopreneur, Karan serves as a board member and advisor for technology start-ups, colleges, universities and industry standards organizations.

Dan Adams is Co-Founder and Executive Chairman of NextWaveBio, a new company that is developing the next generation of safer, more affordable medicines. Previously he was CEO and then Executive Chairman of Protein Sciences Corporation, a leader in developing vaccines using its proprietary baculovirus expression vector (BEST) system. The US FDA licensed its lead vaccine, Flublok®, the first recombinant influenza vaccine, in January 2013, extended the age range in 2014 and approved the quadrivalent formulation in 2018. Flublok was also licensed in Mexico in 2016. The Company had a value of less than $2 million in 1996 and in 2017 it was acquired by Sanofi Pasteur for about $750 million. Previously Dan founded and managed several biotechnology companies that achieved a combined value of in excess of $70 billion. He co-founded Biogen in 1976 and was its first CEO; founded and was CEO of Advanced Genetic Sciences Inc., the first plant biotechnology company (Biogen and AGS were taken public in the 1980s), founded Plant Genetic Systems, the first European agricultural biotechnology company, and served as a managing director and chairman of the management committee (PGS was acquired by Agrivo for $750 million) and founded and was CEO of Allerx Inc. in 1999 – now a boutique company.

Mr. Pinter has a proven record of achievement in leading organizations through rapid acquisitive and organic growth; possessing a unique combination of commercializing novel business models, operationalizing innovative technologies/platforms, rapidly scaling operations, and operating-at-scale. Keith is an exceptional team-builder, motivator and mentor with a history of building and leading high-performing teams towards consistent and crisp execution during turbulent times.

Keith’s focus on creating a new service delivery paradigm for the chronic disease ecosystem (which includes board leadership of Caduceus Medical, Chiron Psychological, Accolite Digital and cliexa) has led to the formation a platform acquisition investment company specializing in transforming the primary care provider segment into a sustainable risk-bearing enterprise.

David Perryman, J.D., is Chief Operating Officer of Drug Innovation Ventures at Emory University (DRIVE) in Atlanta.  He was formerly President, CEO and a founder of Zirus. David has played many roles in his 25 years in the biotechnology industry. In addition to Zirus, David has founded two other biotechnology companies: one was acquired and the second became a publicly traded company. David has served on the Board of Directors of these and other biotechnology companies.

Prior to joining Zirus, he was a shareholder and head of the Biotechnology Patent Practice group at Needle & Rosenberg, an IP boutique law firm. He practiced biotechnology patent law for 20 years delivering patent business strategy to biotech companies, venture capital funds, the CDC, NIH, FDA and numerous universities. He also served as a founder and special advisor to Georgia Venture Partners, a state associated biotech venture capital fund.

David served as a panelist at the Institute of Medicine’s Countermesure/Bioterrorism policy meeting (2010) as well as a featured presenter in Developments in Biodefense and Technology Platforms at the 8th Annual BioDefense Summit 2010. He received the 2014 Industry Growth Award from GaBio, considered the top award in Georgia for contribution to the state’s biotechnology industry.

As a leader, Doug has developed innovative solutions using technology, big data, artificial intelligence and human ingenuity for healthcare leaders. Recently as the Innovation Officer for the Inova Center for Personalized Health he generated millions of dollars in translational research funding from global life sciences and medical devices companies. As the CEO of iConecto, Inc., Doug built mobile health and rehabilitation solutions for health systems. As the founder and CEO of Health Online, Inc. he developed the first syndicated health web portal service and acquired the first social network in health, as he grew revenues to a run rate of $10M. As an author and speaker, he has published 11 books and delivered 250 keynotes for 10,000 health executives.
